I highly recommend starting a conversation before they're ready to purchase. That way, we are able to fully establish their home mortgage goals and establish a game plan moving forward.
The standard documents to start the pre-approval process would be a most recent pay stub, most recent W2, and their most recent bank statement.
While I love helping all people with their mortgage financing needs, I especially enjoy working with first time homebuyers.
