What made me comfortable with choosing Hawaii Mortgage Experts (HME), particularly Joe Pickett, Sr. Mortgage Specialist, was his vast knowledge of home loan opportunities for military veterans. Joe genuinely took interest in my financial background, what I could afford, and helped me navigate through the VA application process. He worked on my pre-qualification application with clarity and reduced stress on my part. The last time I purchased a home was in 1986 so, I felt uninformed of the current real estate conditions and financial terms related to purchasing a home. Joe stood ready to answer all of my questions that I had and explained with clarity the next steps towards finalizing my mortgage loan. The loan process is rather challenging in Hawaii. We had dealt with 2 other lenders that were not creative or tenacious until we found Joe aka G.I. Joe who took our loan application and closed in 20 days!!! Amazing help, service and results driven lender. He not only helped us close he also got a family member through the extensive USDA loan process. We highly recommend him.
