My wife and I moved to town from out of state looking to purchase our first home. To be frank, we did not have a lot of experience or knowledge pertaining to purchasing a home but figured getting our finances in order was a good place to start. Enter Micah and his decades of experience, a quick email led to a phone call, during which Micah was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Micah got to know my wife and I, figured out our starting point and goal. Micah had numbers back to us in quick fashion and gave us advice on how to bridge the gap between where we were and where we wanted to be. Over the course of a year, Micah and I would email or speak on the phone several times with updates, changes or just to seek his advice. Micah was always willing to help, was very responsive and never put out. When a few houses came to market we were interested in, we realized we needed to find a relator. A family member suggested Micah (we had not realized he did both; a testament to Micah’s genuineness and non-pushy demeanor, which shined repeatedly throughout the process). We elected to use Micah as our broker and realtor, which made the whole process incredibly smooth and hassle-free. Just like with our financials, Micah was a responsive and dependable realtor. We looked at all kinds of houses. Micah allowed us the freedom to narrow down our scope alongside him, never once pushing back or getting annoyed. Several times, when I was busy at work, Micah worked with my wife to discuss house viewings and even a showing. When asked, Micah would provide his honest assessment without bias, which was greatly appreciated. Eventually, after over a year of our first contact with Micah, we found a home. Micah worked late into the night to get an offer in immediately. Once escrow started, Micah was dedicated to ensuring all the paperwork was completed, accurate and timely. Micah worked really well with the seller’s agent and when inspection time came, ensured the house was not hiding anything nasty. Even some of the smaller details, which were overlooked by the inspector, Micah caught and facilitated getting a second opinion on. Once the sale was completed, Micah worked around my unusual work schedule (as he had done throughout the process) to get us the keys (a really nice touch). Micah worked with the Homes for Heroes program and played the mortgage market expertly during a tumultuous time, allowing my wife and I to walk away with a great mortgage. Afterword, Micah gifted us with a home warranty and a personalized housewarming gift; another testament to his genuineness and professionalism. Going with Micah was the best decision we made throughout the home buying process. Micah made a daunting process easy, made us feel secure throughout and worked tirelessly for us. We are truly grateful to Micah as a business contact and now, friend. I highly recommend Micah to anyone needing a realtor, broker or both!
