I met Colin at a friend’s BBQ one Sunday. We were chatting about mortgage rates And I explained to him that I was in contracted by a house and was about two weeks from closing and was getting a rate of 6.5%. Colin told me he could get the rate down to 5.875% and still close in two weeks. The first mortgage guy told me that because my down payment was only 10% that my rate was higher. Colin explained that’s not true and that the other guy was just using that as an excuse to give me a higher rate to make more money. Colin helped me transfer the appraisal. So I didn’t need to get a new one and we closed on time at a rate that was more than half a point lower. We are very happy we ran into him. We highly recommend his company. They’re honest, fair and quick.

Colin Powers at Waterville Mortgage was my home mortgage broker for purchase of my new home. He is by far the best mortgage broker I have ever interacted with in my life. It was the easiest and stress-free transaction I have ever had - and I have bought multiple houses in the past. Words are not enough to describe how I much I appreciate his help. Colin was great to work with! Super knowledgable and not pushy, made us feel comfortable the entire way. Always available, never had a problem getting in touch with him for any of my many questions. Handled everything so we literally just had to show up and sign. I would definitely use him again in the future or any mortgage or refi.
