I take the time to actively listen to my clients' unique needs and concerns, which is especially important during what is probably the most stressful life event that they will face like buying a home. Also, I see complex or unusual financial situations not as obstacles, but as opportunities to find creative and effective solutions for my clients. I try to simplify complex mortgage concepts and explain the loan products in plain language for my clients.

They should expect that I will work my hardest to get them approved. If not possible because of circumstances i.e. credit, then I will let them know what needs to be done and how long it will take.
Normally I ask for the main income and asset documents up front. i.e. Pay Stubs, W2s, Bank Statements & 401Ks. This will give me a good idea of where we are in the approval process.
I feel that this is the best time to start. We can then work on a roadmap and timeframe together to get them into their new home.
I really love working with first time home buyers. However, for all of my borrowers, I work the file so that all of the heavy lifting is front loaded. This makes my closings go much smoother.
