I want to share my experience with Loan Velocity because it was the worst home loan experience I have ever had, and I have bought several houses before. From the start, I was honest with Lexi Carpenter and Joe O’Connor about everything before I even applied. I explained that I had a gap in employment because of a disability, that I had only been at my new job for four months, and that I worked through a staffing agency. With all of that information upfront, Lexi still moved forward with my application and told me I was prequalified. Right away, I felt like nobody was really paying attention to my situation. Communication was poor, and important information was not being shared with me. One week before closing on my new house, I closed on my old house and was told by Joe O’Connor that I had nothing to worry about and that everything was good to go. Then, just six days before closing on my new house, they told me they could not push the loan through because I worked for a staffing agency and because my employment gap could not be explained. After that, it felt like they simply gave up. They did not try to find another solution or offer any real help. Thankfully, my realtor connected me with Andy Treno, a mortgage broker with more than 20 years of experience. Andy accomplished in four days what Lexi and Joe could not do in 30 days. And I was able to close eight days later I will never work with or recommend Loan Velocity or Rocket Mortgage. If you want a lender who will pay attention to your situation, communicate clearly, and actually work to solve problems, this is not the group I would use.
